The group's second full-length studio album, Born Pink, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in October 2022.

YG Entertainment has noted that the production cost of Jisoo's music video for her solo debut is the highest of all BLACKPINK videos to date, indicating the level of effort and investment that has gone into making her debut a success.
Jisoo will become the final member of BLACKPINK to release solo music, following Jennie in 2018 and Rosé and Lisa in 2021. BLACKPINK is still in the middle of their 'Born Pink' world tour, which has received rave reviews from fans and critics alike.
